In Loving Memory of Mrs. Mabel Tsao

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Mabel Tsao, commonly addressed as Ms. Ku, former Head of the History Department. She peacefully passed away on 4 September 2026 at Kwong Wah Hospital, aged 88.

Ms. Ku was an alumna of Heep Yunn and returned to serve as a teacher following her graduation from the University of Hong Kong in 1963. She retired in 1993 and subsequently established a small business. During her tenure at the school, Ms. Ku acted as advisor to the Sunday School and the Christian Fellowship, and served as Teacher‑in‑Charge of the Drama Group. Former pupils recall her devout Christian faith, gracious demeanour, notable patience and, fondly, the coconut candies she prepared for them.

As a mark of respect, the school will assist her family in holding a memorial gathering at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, 3 October 2026, in the School Chapel.
